Dear readers,
Democracy is a very fragile and particular arrangement, and in the modern
world, it is often characterzied by the principle of equality. The effect
globalization has on democracy is undeniable. It may seem that Taiwan's
foreign politics are brittle. If we omit local government disputes and excess
politics from trade, then we can say that the Czechia-Taiwan business
relationship is very good. There have been multiple endeavors from the
side of Czech businesses aimed at strengthening Taiwanese investment
towards the Czech Republic and our relationship in the sciences, innovation
and modern technologies. Even our editorial board, from the T+T Technika
a Trh magazine, had the chance to partake in multiple visits. The year 2020
might might mark a significant breakthrough as well, as even in the time
of a global pandemic, the Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber managed
to organize business missions for representatives of companies looking for
partners in the fields of, for example, innovation and development, artificial
intelligence, the internet, cloud services, biotechnologies or nanotechnologies.
The areas of e-mobility, classical engineering, robotics and smart cities were
also not left out. Taiwanese investors are very auspicious partners for the
Czech Republic, and reciprocally, Czech companies seem to be very beneficial
and flexible partners for the investors as well. It is no secret that Taiwan's
investors created about 25 thousand new jobs in Czechia.
Besides lively communication, provided by the Czech-Taiwanese Business
Chamber, the Taiwanese side is very flexible towards global trade as well.
In a time when many questions are being raised regarding health and
economics, Taiwanese businessmen and women, technicians and programmers
were able to establish virtual trade fairs, creating a fully functional new
platform that has helped to answer a lot of these questions. This way
customers from all over the world have access to Taiwanese products.
TMTS Virtual is especially mentionworthy, as it provides a "contactless"
platform that directly connects exhibitors with buyers in the field of machine
tools and their accessories. These virtual fairs will provide extra benefits to
exhibitors, help propagate the industry, and offer the opportunity to attract more business prospects.
