Czech-Taiwanese relations
were leveled up in 2020
The Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber (CTBC)
was honored to participate in the business delegation
that accompanied Milos Vystrcil, the President
of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic,
from August 29 to September 5, 2020.
Despite the geographical distance, the
COVID-19 pandemic, and the challenging global economic situation, we managed to put together Czech and Taiwanese
companies committed to restarting our
economies and finding new approaches to the post-pandemic world. Ultimately, our aim is to raise our cooperation
to a higher qualitative level.
During the six days, more than 280 meetings were organized, and thousands of
business cards exchanged. New possibilities were explored in the fields of artificial
intelligence (AI), internet of things
(IoT), biotechnologies, nanotechnologies,
e-mobility, blockchain, robotics, drones,
and space technologies.

Czech companies learned more about
AI and IoT industry trends. They explored
the Taiwanese startup scene and even fostered their own projects. To strengthen bilateral cooperation, three MoUs were signed during the 2020 Taiwan-Czech
Republic Economic, Trade and Investment Forum.
But this is only the beginning of this promising future partnership. As soon as the
COVID-19 situation allows, new visits and
exchanges are being planned. Moreover,
CTBC has recently opened its membership, so do not hesitate to join our dynamic
community.
