The passenger interface comes in four
standard variants, but customised
versions are also possible.
1. Fixed charger on the backrest
of the seat in a metal case
with a secure soft-touch holder
(which can be sized to fit
your phone) and a USB socket.
2. Seatback SliderFLEX version where view
can be changed to portrait/
landscape with USB charging socket.
3. Desktop, round built-in charger
with separate USB socket
(located on the edge of the desk).
4. Rectangular charger with
USB socket for flexible integration options.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE APP
When a passenger uses the Passenger Interface for wireless phone charging, the
iBeacon Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connects with the phone and starts sending
its unique ID. The passenger's smartphone recognizes the iBeacon through the integrated EAO API and sends this ID to the
Passenger Interface cloud.
The Passenger Interface Cloud converts
this information to the seat/carriage/train
ID where the passenger interface is located
and sends back the train, carriage and seat
position ID to the train operator's cloud,
with no personal phone or user data being
passed on. At this point, the passenger's seat position is communicated to the train
operator and the passenger is notified
