The Czech Republic is a significant piece in

the global supply chain of the aerospace industry today. Naturally, the country's hundred years of tradition with the aerospace industry contribute greatly to making the

Czech Republic a major player on a global

scale. The local industry is attractive to large companies active in this sector thanks to

its capability to develop structural parts and

integrate them into various types of aircraft,

their engines and systems. The Czech

Republic is also among the few world

countries capable of "in-house" construction of a complete aircraft. A strong engineering base, excellent research and development capability, a qualified workforce,

support on the part of the state administration, an outstanding reputation and high reliability of products in various climatic conditions – all these properties strengthen the

competitiveness of the country on global

markets and enables further development

Honeywell

of high-quality aerospace technologies.

Since 2008, the Czech Republic has been

an active member of the European Space

Agency (ESA). Prague is also the seat of the

European Global Navigation Satellite Systems Agency (GSA). The country will further strengthen its position in the field of aerospace in 2021, when the European

Union Agency for the Space Programme

(EUSPA) sets up its headquarters in the

country's capital.
